Description

_{Kat snuffled her nose as she dug her hands into her leather jackets pockets. She let out a tiny sigh, peering into one of the streets shop windows, only to find it was closed. Most of them seemed to be closed. She gave a tiny shake of her head and trudged on, scuffing her boots. She was totally distracted, engrossed in her own world and thoughts, but a loud cry and the smell of smoke broke her out of her trance.
She glanced across the street and her eyes widened at the sight; a crowd had gathered around a large tower block of houses. Further up the tower block, large puffs of smoke were tainting the pastel sky and large flames were visible from single room up there. She frowned and crossed the road, noticing the bright hair of her friend Roxanne. She quickly walked up to her taking one of her one of her hands out of her pockets to tap Roxanne on the shoulder.

Roxanne turned and raised an eyebrow. “Hey.”

“Hey, what the hell is going on? Who’s house is that?”

“No idea. The fire started from inside that room.” She pointed upwards. “It seems to be spreading now. Nobody knows if anyone’s inside, but surely other people in all the other rooms will be. No help’s arrived yet.” “Damn…” Kat whispered, pacing away from Roxanne and shoving past a few random people. She noticed an old familiar face not far from her; Cymbeline, who was standing with her hand covering her mouth. She didn’t dare even go near her, as she didn’t care for her and she was not her main concern at the minute.
She pushed her way towards the front of the crowd and looked up. The flames were licking at the open window now, and the smoke was billowing in the wind; she could taste it. She squinted and frowned up at window before turning around to the crowd. “Does anyone know what room that is?!”
“Room 604 is where the fire started.” Someone called out.
“604…” Kat whispered under her breath. She didn’t know who lived there; she couldn’t remember. But she had been in room 604 before. She didn’t know when, or with who, or for what occasion or event, but something inside her just knew. She remembered that she had been up there before. She memorized what the small house so far up the tower block looked like. And a sinking feeling inside of her told her that whoever she had been with was inside there at the mercy of the flames, and it was too late to save them now.

UNRELATED TITLE cuz what i listened to throughout making this was Taxi To Heaven from the Sid and Nancy soundtraaack yeeeah it's a really nice piece of music uwu

the one thing messing this up would be the ground crriiiiiiiii

and the shops kinda but i don't really care bout them haha

yeah hi i like this

no real reason for adding those characters there or the story just fer fun aha

i noticed while colouring this that cymbeline and roxanne have pretty much the EXACT same eyecolour
so therefore they are sisters ok the end
ALSO please try and ignore the hands, i fixed those when it was 2am and i was tired so they came out looking a bit...eheeeee

also this is the first time i've drawn cymbeline human
janus doesn't take after her much haha
plus you can see she and kat aren't similar at ALL so when ashes wanted to get with cymbeline she was suspicious because before he had only been interested in Kat so she was like ERM WHAT
